The 7 Habits of Women Who Get Lasting Results
Why small, realistic habits can help you build a stronger body—and more trust in yourself.
You may already know what helps you feel well.Move your body. Eat nourishing meals. Get enough rest. Make time to care for yourself. But knowing what to do and finding a way to keep doing it are two different things.Maybe you begin the week with good intentions, then work gets busy, someone needs you, or your plans change. By Friday, you feel as though you’ve fallen behind—and you’re already promising yourself another fresh start on Monday.
After years of coaching women, I’ve noticed something about the clients who create lasting results: they aren’t having perfect weeks. They’re building habits that help them keep returning to what matters. That’s the heart of my latest episode of A Well Lived Life: The 7 Habits of Women Who Get Lasting Results.
Healthy habits need to fit your actual life
It’s easy to admire another woman’s routine and assume you should follow it, too.But her schedule, responsibilities, preferences, and season of life may look very different from yours.A habit becomes useful when you can practice it in your own life. Sometimes that means protecting a time for movement. Sometimes it means making dinner easier or adjusting your expectations during a demanding week.As a coach, I help women find those practical adjustments. A plan should give you direction while leaving room to be a person with a full life.
Progress is also a change in how you see yourself
We often measure progress by what changes on the outside. But there’s another change that deserves our attention: beginning to trust yourself. You follow through on a walk you planned. You notice that you’re getting stronger. You enjoy a meal out and return to your usual habits without turning it into a difficult weekend. Those ordinary choices matter. In the episode, I share stories from women I’ve coached and draw on ideas from James Clear’s Atomic Habits, including how small, repeated actions help shape the person you’re becoming.Over time, you may begin to see yourself as a woman who makes room for her health—and knows how to keep going when things aren’t perfect.
A question to take into your week
Before you add another goal to your list, pause and ask:
What would make caring for myself a little easier this week?
You don’t need an elaborate answer. Choose one small adjustment you can realistically make.In this episode, I walk you through all seven habits, with real-life examples and questions to help you recognize which one might make the biggest difference for you right now.
